SOLVENT, ISOPROPANOL, SILICONE PRIMER

ShellSol D40 is a deeply hydrogenated solvent that consists predominantly of C9- C11 paraffins and naphthenes. It is further characterised by a very low aromatic content, negligible reactive impurities and a low, sweet odour.

Suitable for general cleaning purposes and product thinning. Shellsol D40 is very effective for the removal of contaminants and grease residues and for spray system cleaning. This Naptha Spirit Solvent is also suitable for dilution of our Sylgard HVIC+ and 3099 HVIC compound high voltage insulator coating products.

IPA has many uses across all industries for example:

Glass, Porcelain, Ceramic Cleaner; Disinfectant and Cleaning Agent; Antiseptic; Anti-Bacteria Agent; General Cleaning Solution; General Laboratory Use; Rubbing alcohol (60:40 mix IPA and distilled water)

We use this high-purity IPA for the final clean on insulator surfaces in preparation for coating applications. IPA removes any remaining residues and evaporates quickly which leaves a clean and dry surface ready for spray application of the coating or primer.

DOW CORNING 1200 OS Silicone Primer is used to improve adhesion and accelerate adhesion build-up of silicone elastomers to various substrates. This moisture curing primer is supplied as a dilute solution of reactive materials in low viscosity siloxane.
